Position Overview:

To support our rapid growth, we are currently looking for a strong tech background team lead to be part of the Data Engineering team that builds analytics systems to enable a data-driven company. This position will be a valuable member of our team and is expected to open data visibility to the whole organization, provide key metrics to all levels of leadership, and build data models for business decision optimization. You will be working in business domains of Site Tracking, Marketing, CRM, Inventory, Supply Chain Customer Service… etc., and leverage enriched data to bring real impact back to the company.

You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including product, engineering, marketing, CRM, UX, customer support, and leadership, to bring data-driven and business decision optimization to the company. You understand how data engineering and data analytics teams work, are comfortable with a fast pace, and manage many concurrent efforts. You have experience working with a large cross-functional team. Most of all, you love solving hard technical and people challenges to make a difference in the lives of other people.

What we want you to own in this role:

  • Conduct deep analysis to help Zenni with business decisions/process optimization
  • Be a domain specialist from a data perspective and help the company drive growth by leveraging enriched data built by your team
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and prioritize the data analytics team’s projects with technical feasibility and business goals
  • Provide forecasting and predictive analytics across diverse business domains, empowering leadership to formulate informed strategic plans.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science or a related field
  • At least 2 years experience in the data analytics area.
  • Experience with a velocity team.
  • Solid modern tech stack background, fully hands-on.
  • Proficiency with SQL and Python.
  • An enthusiastic approach to taking on new opportunities and challenges.
  • Strong experience with end-to-end project delivery including requirement gathering, communication with stakeholders, implementation, and QA process.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to communicate complex ideas to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Marketing and Customer Success domains are nice to have

As of 08/15/2023, the expected compensation range for this position is $95,000 to $130,000 CAD. Actual pay within this range will be based upon several factors, including without limitation education, work experience, certifications, geographic pay differentials, market conditions, and other business and organizational needs. The Company anticipates that the reasonably expected salary for this position could change in the future and, therefore, the Company retains the right to change, modify, or revisit the salary range for the position for various reasons, including the Company’s business needs.
