Position Summary

The Data Science team at Current Health is seeking an experienced individual to join the team. This role will work closely with both Data Science and Data Engineering to support ad-hoc requests, maintain existing reports, build presentations and dashboards, and assist with data analysis. The Data Science team is focused on using data analysis and statistical methods to influence operational, clinical, and financial decision making at Current Health.

A day in the life of

  • Generate ad-hoc reports and perform data analysis in support of various business units
  • Design and develop interactive dashboards and visualizations for internal and external stakeholders
  • Manipulate and transform data from multiple sources using modern tech stack and programming languages
  • Collect business requirements from cross-functional teams and translate them into data-driven solutions
  • Conduct regular data quality assessments to ensure accuracy of reporting and analysis
  • Create high quality presentations and story boards to communicate findings of data analysis to data scientists, engineering management, and executive leadership

Requirements

We want to hear from you if

  • Knowledge and applied experience with business analysis fundamentals and data analysis techniques
  • Skilled with business intelligence tools (Tableau)
  • Ability to create compelling and useful data visualizations that include Key Performance Indicators that meet business requirements
  • Strong proficiency with SQL; joins, aggregations, window functions, etc.
  • Proficiency in Python (experience with Jupyter notebooks is a plus)
  • Clear presentation and writing skills to effectively communicate qualitative findings and make data-driven recommendations
  • Proficiency working across a cloud based stack: AWS Athena, S3, Redshift
  • Ability to utilize project management tools such as Jira with an Agile mindset

Nice to have

  • Familiarity with statistical concepts
  • Experience with healthcare data or healthcare domain knowledge
