About the Role:

Demandbase is seeking a talented Content Strategist with a strong background in copywriting and editorial work, coupled with expertise in SEO, content analytics, CRO (Conversion Rate Optimization)/digital, audience research, program management, workflow optimization, and customer journey mapping. The ideal candidate will have at least two years of experience in B2B SaaS environments, possessing a designer-friendly approach, a keen eye for brand consistency, and the curiosity, adaptability, and investigative skills reminiscent of a seasoned beat journalist.

The base compensation range for this position, not including bonus, is: $75,000 - $120,000

What you’ll be doing:

  • Develop and execute comprehensive content strategies aligned with Demandbase's business objectives, target audience needs, and market trends.
  • Craft compelling and engaging copy across various channels and formats, including but not limited to website content, blog posts, whitepapers, case studies, emails, social media, and more.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, sales, product, and design teams to ensure cohesive messaging and brand consistency throughout all content touchpoints.
  • Conduct thorough keyword research and leverage SEO best practices to optimize content for search visibility and organic traffic growth.
  • Utilize content analytics and data-driven insights to track performance, measure ROI, and continuously refine content strategies for maximum impact.
  • Lead CRO initiatives to enhance user experience, drive conversion, and optimize content effectiveness at every stage of the customer journey.
  • Conduct in-depth audience research and persona development to inform content creation and messaging strategies.
  • Manage end-to-end content production processes, from ideation and creation to publication and distribution, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to quality standards.
  • Identify opportunities for workflow optimization and implement efficient content management systems and processes.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to map customer journeys and develop targeted content experiences that resonate with key audience segments.

What we’re looking for:

  • At least three to four years of experience in content strategy, copywriting, and editorial roles, preferably within the B2B SaaS industry.
  • A natural writer. This role is a thinker and a doer. Everybody writes. 
  • Proven track record of driving measurable results through content initiatives, with a focus on SEO, CRO, and audience engagement.
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in content analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Search Console, Ahrefs, SEMrush,  Screaming Frog, Surfer SEO,  Clearscope, etc.).
  • Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Exceptional communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across cross-functional teams.
  • Designer-friendly mindset with a keen eye for aesthetics and brand consistency.
  • Curiosity, adaptability, and a passion for staying abreast of industry trends and best practices.
  • Experience with customer journey mapping and persona development is a plus.
