We are currently recruiting a Consulting Director for North America with a primary focus on delivering world class client activation, whilst driving real delivery efficiency into the business. As our industry knowledge sets us apart from other consultancy businesses the successful candidate must have a proven track record in a senior commercial role within an FMCG / CPG environment.
The Consulting Director is accountable for the highest level of delivery quality, client satisfaction and maximum client billable efficiency throughout the year. This role reports directly to the President of North America, and the role will support multiple solutions in delivery as needed.
Key Responsibilities
- To proactively deliver at least 155 client billable days of work throughout the year to FMCG clients, primarily driven by delivery of core training program workshops, delegate coaching sessions, refresh session and tune up sessions.
- Continually lead high quality workshops in all areas of client delivery, setting gold standard example and adherence to all business processes,
- Constantly thrives for and delivers the highest level of solutions, be that workshop delivery or consulting engagements, measured by delegate feedback.
- Support on-boarding and in-the-moment coaching of new delivery team members by leading by example of the TNG standard, as instructed by Head of Solutions.
- Ability to manage multiple workshops simultaneously with maximum efficiency for client billable time.
- Constantly looking for additional business development opportunities when working with clients, passing leads back to Customer Transformation team for them to action.
- Manage specific customer accounts as experience within the TNG business progresses.
- Maximise billable time by proactively seeking opportunities, e.g. consultancy projects, tailoring of workshops, writing role plays, 1-2-1’s etc
- Take the initiative to seek out and volunteer for additional work that reduces pressure on overall team eg. Project managing client work or internal projects.
- Plan and prioritise work, communicating any spare capacity in a timely way and working with team to maximise billable hours.
Requirements
- Ideally based in Toronto or Montreal
- Willing to travel around North America (circa 25% travel)
- Held senior commercial role in an FMCG / CPG environment with a minimum of 15 years’ experience in Canada and ideally USA. (Account Director/Sales Director/Retailer Senior Buyer)
- Fluent in written and spoken English, additionally fluency in French would be advantageous.
- Experienced in inspirational workshop delivery in all formats and/or experienced consultant
- Experience in Account Management, Negotiations and Revenue Growth Management
- FMCG/Food Service/Alcohol industry experience
- People leadership experience and skills
- Ease of facilitating virtual and Face to Face workshops
- Open to travel
- Consulting experience is an asset
- Has ability to deliver across all global regions and therein can flex delivery styles, incorporating diversity and inclusivity into everything they do.
