Consultant, Advisory - Procurement

As a valued member of our Advisory team, you will collaborate closely with both internal and external customers. Your multifaceted role comprises the following key responsibilities:

  • Process Gap Assessment and Recommendations for Software Implementations: You will contribute to the evaluation of customer processes, pinpointing gaps and inefficiencies within the existing process before the implementation. This entails comprehensive process mapping, gap analysis, and active participation in workshops with customers.
  • Transformation Project Support: You will conduct gap assessments for procurement and AP transformation projects. This involves tasks such as process analysis, developing documentation, and crafting formal deliverables, catering to diverse project needs across all people, process, technology, and metrics within procurement and AP.
  • Diverse Project Account Support: Embracing a broader perspective, you may extend your expertise to support various customer accounts. This could encompass tasks like data analysis and operational or strategic procurement assistance for ongoing customer initiatives.

We take pride in fostering a positive consulting environment and prioritize work/life balance. Travel is limited, primarily for internal team building, given our remote work culture. This role is also eligible for remote work in states where Corcentric operates as an employer. As a Consultant, here are your major task responsibilities, and key accountabilities:

Project Support & Research:

  • Aid customers across a variety of industries in process optimization and reengineering, metrics evaluation and development, and delivery of results pertaining to evaluation in those areas.
  • Craft best practice-based policies and procedures, along with workflow documentation creation for procurement and finance or any other area.
  • Support cross-functional team environment and help to elaborate presentations (PowerPoint)
  • Support the growth of the Transformation Advisory practice including elements such as marketing strategy, content development and planning.
  • Support customers in the development and facilitation of training on new processes and ensuring buy-in across stakeholder base.
  • Gather information for a project by conducting interviews, workshops and analyzing customer documentation.

Analysis and communication:

  • Support the growth of the Transformation Advisory practice including elements such as marketing strategy, content development and planning.
  • Support customers in the development and facilitation of training on new processes and ensuring buy-in across stakeholder base.

Requirements

You’ll need to have:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in a related discipline
  • A minimum of 2 to 3 years of relevant consulting experience
  • Experience in Procurement or Supply Chain and good understanding of Source to Pay Processes
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strategic and analytical thinking skills
  • Ability to develop and foster customer relationships and identify areas to expand our portfolio
  • A strong work ethic, self-motivation and progressive thinking that thrives on new challenges
  • Ability to quickly assimilate and utilize new information
  • A full command of Excel (advance formula writing, pivot tables, lookups and charting)
  • Excellent PowerPoint skills with the ability to produce clear reports and presentations

It’s great if you also have:

  • Category management, supply management and strategic sourcing best practices expertise
  • Experience with conducting process optimization or transformation advisory
  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Supply Chain, Finance, or Economics
