Responsibilities
We are seeking a Configuration Management/ Document Management Analyst supporting our NASA customer based at Wallops Island Flight F acility in VA . This position is able to consider supporting a 100% remote hire, with travel to NASA sites as needed; if local to the Wallops Island Flight Facility area, commute to the NASA site and other NASA locations may be necessary to support customer meetings, and a candidate who is local or within commuting distance to the site is preferred.
As prime contractor on the Peraton Space Exploration Networks Services and Evolution (SENSE) contract, Peraton is responsible for the operation, maintenance, sustainment and systems engineering of NASA's worldwide satellite communication networks. In this position, you will become part of NASA's return to the moon, support new earth and space science missions, and launch vehicles. You will be an integral part of a world class team that ensures NASA space-ground communications are reliable and meet mission requirements.
The SENSE DTE Engineering team supports cross functional disciplines such as Hardware/Software Engineering and System Engineering for the DTE (Direct to Earth) projects. This will i nclude the study, design, development, integration, testing, verification and operations of spaceflight, airborne and ground system hardware and software, including development and validation of new technologies to enable future space and science missions.
In this position, you will lead Configuration Management/Data Management (CM/DM) stakeholders in support with the SENSE/ACCESS programs/projects in the DTE department, including the following:
• Provide expert knowledge of required compliance documentation including AS9100 and CMMI Level 2, or greater; reviews, evaluates, recommends and implements new technology/enhancements to the configuration management system
• Prepares CCRs, prepares CCR package, collects review comments, tracks CCR action items
• Coordinates Configuration Control Boards (CCB) meetings; Configuration Review Boards (CRBs)
• Coordinates and manages weekly Internal Technical Reviews (ITR) meetings with minutes and attendance
• Support DTE Discrepancy Review (DR) meetings as required
• Managing Change Requests (CRs). identifies and collects data associated with configuration management system and maintains the database
• Applying CM Identification, Change Management and Control, Status Accounting, and Verification and Audits processes.
• Developing and maintaining configuration product breakdown structures with identification. Performing change management processes.
• Applying CM processes in either a development or sustainment environment.
• Creating and establishing baseline (as-required, as-designed, as-built and as-maintained) configurations.
• Collaborating with other Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to restore baseline configurations to maintain operational service and/or identify system issues and support the integration of new system baselines as required.
• Position will require up to 10% travel to other NASA facilities, primarily to Wallops Island, VA
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, Engineering, Math, Science or related technical field and 5+ years of directly related experience; without a degree 9+ years of related experience and technical training may be considered
• 5+ years of configuration management and data management (CM/DM) experience
• CMMI Level 2 experience or greater
• This position requires ability to obtain a DOD Secret security clearance, which requires a US Citizen
Desired Qualifications:
• Experience working in a large scale, dynamic, schedule and deadline-oriented environment, requiring immediate response with a sense of urgency and quality
• Familiar with Risk and Issue Management
• Working knowledge of CM tools and processes, with particular interest in Maximo, ICD and SharePoint
• Experience in Discrepancy Reports (DRs), Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and Root Cause Corrective Actions (RCCAs)
• Familiar with Directory Services and configuring/maintaining switches, routers and firewalls
• Basic understanding of IT Security principles and processes
• Basic familiarity with reading/learning technical documentation, drawings, etc. and ability to research and resolve technical issues via the internet (i.e. OEM Web pages, Technical Forums, etc.)

Target Salary Range
$86,000 - $138,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
