Position Overview:

Verra Mobility is seeking a Cloud Architect candidate to manage our company's cloud architecture and position in cloud environments. You will play a strategic role in maintaining all cloud systems including the front-end platforms, servers, storage, SAAS, PAAS, IAAS and management networks. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of cloud computing and technology systems, as well as experience designing and transferring applications to the cloud. You should have a positive attitude and excellent communication skills to effectively share your knowledge.

Essential Responsibilities:

Create a well-informed cloud strategy and manage the adaption process.
Regularly evaluate cloud applications, hardware, and software.
Develop and organize cloud systems.
Work closely with IT security to monitor the company's cloud privacy.
Respond to technical issues in a professional and timely manner.
Offer guidance in infrastructure movement techniques including bulk application transfers into the cloud.
Identify the top cloud architecture solutions to successfully meet the strategic needs of the company.
Provide technical assistance by responding to inquiries regarding errors, problems, or technical questions; train end users and technical support staff as required.
Convert user stories into application logic, reports, printed outputs, and interfaces with other systems.
Develop detailed technical analysis and design specifications based on functional requirements.
Collaborate with multiple development, design, and analyst teams to solve problems.
Contribute in the implementation of improvements across organization product base.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, information technology, or equivalent work experience in the field.
Professional experience as a Solution Architect while working in an enterprise environment.
3+ years of experience designing, executing, and supporting IT cloud solutions.
Positive attitude and a strong commitment to delivering quality work.
Excellent knowledge of cloud computing technologies and current computing trends including knowledge of AWS and Azure deployment methods and their best practices.
Effective communication skills (written and verbal) to properly articulate complicated cloud reports to management and other IT development partners.
Experience with coding and CI/CD best practices, legacy software migration, and containerized environments using Docker and Kubernetes.
Utilized enterprise level software development tools.
Understanding of software development processes and methodologies including, Agile, Scrum, Test Driven Development, and Continuous Integration.
Ability to lead overall product vision and lead feature definitions.
Solid work ethic, self-driven with the ability to work with minimal supervision.
Big picture problem-solving skills.
