Client Accounting & Advisory Manager - CAAS

Established in 1983, WilkinGuttenplan is a leading mid-sized accounting and advisory firm in New Jersey and New York City. The Firm serves a multitude of industries, including closely held and middle-market businesses and their owners, high-net worth individuals, real estate, healthcare, international commerce, sports and entertainment, professional practices, technology, non-profit, condominiums and cooperatives, and many more. Areas of expertise include tax, auditing, compilations, reviews, financial statement preparation, business valuations and trust & estate solutions. We are currently looking for a Manager to join our growing Client Accounting & Advisory Services (CAAS) team. We have opportunities available virtually or in our East Brunswick, NJ office!

 

Responsibilities

  • Manage client deliverables and schedules for accountants
  • Review monthly financial reporting including dashboards, KPIs, and narratives
  • Provide outsourced controller services to clients
  • Budgeting and cash flow forecasting
  • Oversee the day-day outsourced accounting and finance services to clients
    • General ledger coding
    • Accounts payable processing including bill payment
    • Employee expense reimbursement
    • Review and approve payroll
    • General accounting and finance consulting
    • Frequent interaction with clients
  • Review the month-end close process
    • Review of reconciliations for balance sheet accounts
    • Analyze the balance sheet and profit and loss statement
    • Ensure compliance with GAAP, cash basis/Income tax, or other Comprehensive Basis of Accounting
    • Meet with clients to review monthly financial reports and respond timely to client inquiries

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
  • CPA license or similar accreditation (required)
  • 5+ years of recent work experience as an outsourced accountant (preferred) or auditor for a public accounting firm
  • Experience with QuickBooks Online (required) and Sage Intacct accounting system (preferred)
  • Proficient in Excel
  • Experience supervising, managing teams, and mentoring staff
  • Outstanding collaboration, communication, organization, and analytical skills

  • The estimated salary range for this position is $100,000 to $120,000. Individual salaries are determined through multiple factors permitted by law including but not limited to experience, education, licensure/certification, knowledge, skills and qualifications. WG also offers a comprehensive benefits package and performance award (bonus) eligibility where you’ll be recognized and rewarded based on your performance.
