Job Description

We have an exciting new opportunity for a Chief Growth Officer with a proven track record of driving sustainable financial growth through boosting sales and forging strong client relationships. As our CGO, you will strategically expand our company's presence in the market by identifying new business opportunities and developing strategic partnerships. You will work collaboratively with our ELT to deliver compelling product, service, technology, and engineering system solutions that meet market demands.

 

We need someone who can bring a customer-centric focus to Reaction Engines and break down traditional departmental silos to create synergy between business functions. You will be accountable for all front-end market strategy, analysis, business development, and sales, as well as commercial and contracts. Additionally, you'll be responsible for developing long-term customer relationships and partnerships that provide routes to market and growth opportunities in all relevant commercial and defense sectors.

 

As the head of an agile and skilled, diverse and inclusive team, you'll lead the future growth of the business with an entrepreneurial and commercial mindset. You'll work collaboratively with other functional leads to ensure alignment and buy-in and actively support the CEO in leading a cultural shift of the business. You will be accountable for leading the exploration, development, and growth of profitable Business Units in existing and new geographies.

Qualifications

To be successful you'll need:

  • Prior experience as a CEO, Chief Commercial Officer, or Chief Revenue / Chief Growth Officer with a track record of successful business growth strategies and execution. Demonstrable track record of entrepreneurial leadership and successful business growth within a scale up business.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a team and excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective stakeholder engagement. Track record of building and leadership of results-driven winning and inclusive teams.
  • Outwardly focussed leader with significant commercial acumen and direct customer experience in a relevant sector or sectors and exposure to a fast-paced commercial / sales-driven tech environment. Passionate about understanding customers and experience in developing strategic partnerships. Track record of delivery of Customer solutions where creative thinking is required.
  • Strong track record in business development in an early to ‘scale up’ stage business with experience in deal making and market development experience. Experience in shaping business and commercial strategies in a fast paced, agile technology led business.
  • Business Management and P&L accountability.
