Summary of Role:
The Career Consultant/Executive Coach will support the delivery of coaching, career development, and leadership training programs for a leading federal agency in the healthcare sector. This position involves providing executive coaching, career consulting services, supporting assessment administration, and assisting in the development of custom courses to enhance the agency's workforce capabilities.
Important note: This is a full-time position contingent on contract award.
Responsibilities
Provide executive coaching to agency leaders and managersDeliver career consulting services, including one-on-one consultations and group workshopsAdminister leadership assessments and provide individual and group debriefsAssist in the development and delivery of custom leadership and management coursesFacilitate workshops, retreats, and training sessions for agency employeesCollaborate with and support team members in program design and deliveryEvaluate the effectiveness of coaching and training programs using agency-provided tools and industry best practicesPrepare reports on coaching engagements and training outcomesEnsure all coaching and training materials are Section 508 compliantSupport career pathing initiatives and help employees develop robust Individual Development Plans (IDPs)Contribute to diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives through coaching and career development activitiesAssist in the design and facilitation of mentoring programsSupport the implementation of federal career development frameworksDevelop and deliver career development workshops on topics such as personal branding, networking, and career transitionsCreate scalable career development resources for use across the organizationContribute to the design of talent mobility programs to enhance internal career progressionQualifications
Master's degree in Organizational Psychology, Adult Learning, or related field3-5 years of experience in executive coaching, leadership development, and career consultingICF certification (ACC level minimum)Experience coaching mid-level to senior managers in professional settingsKnowledge of leadership competency models and assessment toolsAbility to design and deliver effective training programsFamiliarity with various coaching methodologies and career development frameworksStrong interpersonal, communication, and facilitation skillsAbility to build rapport and trust with clients at various organizational levelsKnowledge of federal agency operations, culture, and HR policiesFamiliarity with federal human capital frameworks and OPM's HR University resourcesUnderstanding of adult learning principlesExperience with data-driven decision making and analytics in coaching and career development contextsAbility to work in an Agile environment and adapt to changing prioritiesExperience with or willingness to obtain necessary security clearances for working with federal agenciesIn-depth knowledge of career development theories and their practical applicationExperience with various career assessment tools and inventoriesProficiency in designing and facilitating group coaching sessionsUnderstanding of workforce trends and their impact on career development strategiesNice to Haves
