Business Operations Analyst

As Marqeta’s Business Operations Analyst, you will:

  • Develop data-driven insights into our product performance 
  • Drive roadmap consistency and updates 
  • Own the customer feedback process between product and GTM
  • Develop product and operational documentation and definitions. 

We work Flexible First. This role can be performed remotely anywhere within the United States or from our Oakland office. We’d love for you to join us!

What You’ll Do

  • Play a critical part in building both new processes and improving existing processes around data collection, process standardization and roadmaps
  • Help improve our Product and Technology team’s ability to execute on product initiatives more efficiently
  • Leverage metrics to improve transparency, overall team performance and efficiency around key cross-org programs
  • Manage the Product Roadmap update and communication process
  • Monitor and report on product management development life cycle inclusive of backlog health, dependency commitments, readiness and progress 
  • Maintain and Improve the customer feedback process with our GTM partners
  • Partner with product on new and existing processes and create documentation 
  • Create product templates and complete trainings for our product management team 
  • Provide visibility to program status (issues, risks, metrics, etc.) on an ongoing basis through push status reporting as needed (to all stakeholders, team members, and interested parties)

What We’re Looking For 

  • BA/BS degree  with 2- 3 years of analyst,  program management, operations, product operations, or business consulting that worked closely with product and engineering teams as well as directly with customers.
  • Strong documentation and organizational skills - experience leveraging virtual collaboration tools to document brainstorming, project plans and decisions. 
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills with a history of hands-on, detail orientation. Experience with Looker and advanced Excel/Gsheet skills  
  • Ability to communicate with a range of stakeholders including technical resources 
  • Strong organizational, communication, and relationship building skills conducive to driving consensus
  • Highly motivated to make an impact and highly curious about how things work and how to make them better. 
  • Familiarity with business systems and tools (e.g. JIRA, Confluence, Salesforce, Looker)

Nice-To-Haves

  • Experience working with payment processes, disputes management, or call centers 
  • Experience with Jira, Asana, or other roadmapping tools 
  • Certification with Six Sigma Methodologies or other process improvement certifications
  • Experience with card transactions, identity, direct deposits/debits, ACH, or other money movement capabilities, risk management, and risk operation products.
