Role:
We seek a results-driven and experienced Business Developer Specialist with a background in engineering to expand our client base and drive sales for our software engineering services. In this role, you will leverage your engineering knowledge to identify opportunities, build client relationships, and facilitate the growth of our software engineering business. You will be responsible for understanding client needs, proposing tailored solutions, and closing deals to achieve sales targets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead Generation:
- Identify and nurture sales leads through various channels, including networking, industry events, referrals, and online research.
- Create plans of engagement and execute them accordingly.
- Pre-Sales Process Management:
- Manage the end-to-end sales process, from lead generation to contract negotiation and closing.
- Utilize customer relationship management (CRM) tools for tracking and reporting.
- Proposal and Presentation:
- Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations and proposals.
- Customize solutions to match client needs with engineering and product departments.
- Client Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong client relationships.
- Understand client needs and challenges, offering consultative solutions together with product and engineering departments.
- Market Research:
- Stay updated on industry trends, competitors, and emerging technologies in software engineering services.
- Collaboration:
- Collaborate with the engineering and product departments to ensure accurate understanding of client requirements and deliverables.
- Work closely with product managers and engineers to ensure successful project execution.
- Reporting:
- Provide regular reports and updates to management.
- Track and achieve sales targets and quotas.
- Feedback and Improvement:
- Gather feedback from clients and the sales team to improve offerings and processes.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field. An MBA or equivalent business qualification is a plus.
- Proven experience in business development, sales, or account management, with a background in software engineering services.
- Strong understanding of software development processes, technologies, and methodologies.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- A track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets.
- Self-motivated, results-oriented, and able to work independently.
- Knowledge of CRM software (e.g. HubSpot is a plus)
