We looking for a talented Business Development Manager within Sample Management to join our growing team on the East Coast at SPT Labtech. You'll be based remotely, ideally close to MA, PA, NY, or biotech regions and you should have experience selling capital equipment within the Life Sciences industry.

Responsibilities
- Provide product support for market development and sales of SPT's Sample Management line in the protein crystallization, genomics, and drug discovery markets across the Eastern portion of the United States.
- Conduct remote selling, including calling existing and potential new customers.
- Identify and proactively reach out to prospective customers to generate demand for Sample Management solutions.
- Deliver Inside Sales revenue targets and profitability for assigned consumables and instruments product lines, regularly monitoring targets and KPIs.
- Provide administrative support, including generating quotes, updating CRM, etc.
- Collaborate closely with global sales, marketing, and product management teams.
Your Goals for the Position
- Develop and lead the Product Strategy according to the Company's priorities, ensuring regular reporting to the Inside Sales Director.
- Organize working time according to the priorities of both parts of the role.
- Propose strategies, action plans, and tools necessary for the internal and external promotion of the Tubes Handling line.
- Provide specific product support for SPT's Sample Management line (application, complex sales) both internally and externally, and in the field within a qualified and prepared framework with sales (Product presentation, Hot demonstration, seminar, workshop, training, Sales tour, etc.).
- Run Inside sales by building a consultative relationship (Trusted Advisor) with customers through a structured commercial approach based on gathering maximum information to propose the most suitable solutions and developing reference customers.
- Ensure continuous training and maintain the skills of the company's sales force on product ranges and related markets, while setting necessary training tools.
- Maintain an expert level of product and market knowledge and work with CRM as the central tool for all support and sales activities.
Beneficial Skills/Experience
- Ideally, 3+ years of experience in a capital sales specialist role is required. Preference will be given to candidates with expertise in selling automated Sample Management technologies and familiarity with Lab Automation in the Eastern portion of the United States market.
- An undergraduate degree or equivalent qualification in a Life Science discipline is mandatory, given the background required for the role.
- Ability to travel up to 50% across the Eastern portion of the United States.
- Familiarity with using CRM as a central sales tool.
- Established network across the Eastern portion of the United States.
- Proven success and ability to develop business.
- Ability to conduct presentations or complex demonstrations in front of varying audiences.
- Autonomy, team spirit, and remote work capabilities.
