 We currently looking for an experienced Business Analyst Manager to join our government program!

The Business Analyst Manager is responsible for leading a team of Business Analysts in analyzing business problems, identifying gaps, and developing technical solutions for complex information systems of government state healthcare programs.

You will lead a team managing requirement and design scope, determining appropriate methods on potential assignments, and serving as a bridge between information technology teams and the client through all project phases; provide day-to-day direction to direct reports to ensure that requirements and design are delivered on schedule.

*Position can work remotely or in Lacey, WA office hybrid. Candidates located in Olympia, WA area preferred

Responsibilities

  • Direct and coordinate business analysis activities throughout the implementation and or operations phases of a program. Confer with Project Managers and staff to explain program and individual responsibilities for functions and phases of a program
  • Manage, lead, and mentor a BA team (typically 5-8 employees) concurrently
  • Elicit requirements working with clients and stakeholders
  • Presents technical solutions, lead client demos and presentations and oversees JAD sessions
  • Direct, manage, plan, and develop methods and procedures for implementing requirements and design activities
  • Acts as a liaison between the client and the technology teams
  • Manage requirements and design risk, including pre-project preparations for requirement elicitation, design solutions and customer sign-off, and design documentation delivery
  • Oversee, implement, maintain, and report business analysis metrics throughout the implementation and or operations phases of a program
  • Lead team in applying in-depth healthcare Claims and encounters, Member Eligibility & Enrollment, or Managed Care domain knowledge to review and analyze systems problems
  • Escalate issues and risks to management/stakeholders and assist in developing solutions
  • Acts as the requirements subject matter expert and supports requirements change management
  • Identifies areas for process improvement to improve quality and optimize cost
  • Keeps abreast of new technology and market developments (including federal regulations)

 

Required Qualifications/Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree with 10+ years of experience as related to responsibilities, or equivalent related job experience
  • 7+ years of business analysis and design experience in the healthcare domain, ideally on large complex projects, with government healthcare domain knowledge (i.e.: Medicaid, Medicare, claims processing, enrollment systems, or related healthcare)
  • 2+ years of managerial and leadership experience, including the ability to coach, mentor, and achieve goals
  • Proven record of leading and facilitating JAD requirements design sessions, and presentations
  • Experience in requirements elicitation, Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and requirements management life cycle
  • Demonstrated experience with MS Office Suite
  • Experience with Jira, Teams, SharePoint, Visio preferred
