Bookkeeper / Accountant Finance Specialist

Role

BUSINESS:

We provide Bookkeeping and Virtual CFO services to small businesses.

Our focus is to help small businesses succeed by understanding the financial side of their business, work towards long term, consistent financial results and winning their game of business. To do this we need to ensure the accuracy of their bookkeeping and monthly financial reporting.

 

ROLE:

  • You are looking for a role for as an experienced bookkeeper/accountant
  • You want to work on multiple client Xero accounts and work with other bookkeepers
  • You have confidence and enjoy speaking professionally with clients (written and verbal)
  • You want to work remotely, full time (40 hours) a week - Monday to Friday
  • You’re interested in Day Shift hours, during Melbourne, Australia business hours
  • You have a University Level Education in finance, accounting, bookkeeping or similar
  • You have proven solid work experience of 3+ years
  • And, you already have advanced skills in Xero - or able to transfer skills from another accounting software and become proficient in Xero

 

 

Responsibilities

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Bank Reconciliations - multiple clients
  • Accounts payable and receivable
  • Accurate classification of transactions in the General Ledger and Journal Entries
  • Ability to build and maintain a clean chart of accounts
  • Accurate GST classification of transactions
  • Monthly reporting - preparation and delivery of Monthly financial reports including; Profit & Loss, Cash Flow Statement and Balance Sheet
  • Analysis of monthly reports for clients - record monthly Virtual CFO video review of reports identifying any trends and confirming business performance to the business owner
  • End of Quarter and Year preparation, reviews and submission
  • Follow-up, request and review client files to ensure accurate and kept up to date

 

We will provide training on how to manage tasks and upload content, as long as you are the type of person who has the will to learn and master it.

 

Requirements

REQUIREMENTS:

  • You need to have a Computer/Laptop with at least i5 processor and 8gb of RAM
  • You need to have a 2nd computer screen in your home office
  • You need to have a fast and reliable Internet connection, with access to a back-up
  • You have a strong attention to detail and highly organised
  • You are task oriented who cares about a clients success
  • You have the ability to problem solve and improve workflow processes
  • You have a friendly, upbeat and team focused attitude
  • Most importantly, you desire to learn and obtain new responsibilities
