We’re looking for a Bilingual Human Resources Coordinator to join our growing company and play a key role in our customer experience by ensuring each purchase ends in a smile!



    Job Description

    As a member of our Human Resources team, you will join us supporting our exciting and growing business through key partnerships.  The Bilingual Human Resources Coordinator will provide support to Management and Associates in Quebec, Eastern Ontario and Atlantic provinces.   The position will entail a strong focus on employee relations in addition to HR Administration and working on various HR project initiatives.

    In this role you will:

    • Provide support to various departments with employee relations.
    • Provide support to the Regional HR Manager with handling employee/labor relations, health & safety, roll-out of any HR programs/initiatives, ad-hoc reports, etc…
    • Provide administrative support such as initiating any Associate changes into the HRIS System such as promotions/transfers, leaves, wage adjustments and liaising with payroll to ensure that changes are reflected accurately.
    • Maintain all Associate files in our HRIS system while ensuring data integrity.
    • Manage the HR Email Inbox on a regular basis and respond or escalate any inquiries as required in a timely manner.
    • Collaborate closely with the broader HR team to ensure successful implementation of HR initiatives such as Associate Engagement.
    • Identify opportunities and propose solutions for continuous improvement relating to HR initiatives, policies, recruitment strategies and HR effectiveness.
    • Update and maintain the HR section of the company Intranet (SharePoint) site.
    • Co-Chair and/or participate with the region’s Joint Health and Safety Committee.


    Qualifications

    The Qualifications and Experience we like to see:

    • Bachelor Degree or College Diploma in Human Resource Management, Business Administration or a related field; completed or working towards CHRP/CHRL designation is an asset.
    • 1 to 3 years of progressive previous HR experience preferred. Ideally in retail or distribution environment with a strong focus on employee relations;
    • Experience in a unionized environment would be an asset.
    • Strong analytical skills with the ability to multi-task, prioritize, handle competing priorities and deadlines, and work well under pressure in a fast paced, high volume environment.
    • Must have excellent interpersonal and communications skills with proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships at all levels of the organization.
    • Attention to detail, organizational and time management skills, and ability to work independently as well as within a team.
    • Good judgement, strong decision-making, problem-solving skills, and negotiation skills.
    • Proficient skills in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
    • Experience working with an HRIS
    • Bilingual in English and French written/spoken is required.
