BI Engineer

The Role

As the BI Engineer, your primary responsibility will involve forming strong collaborative partnerships with numerous key stakeholders within the Tecnalis business unit. Your objective is to provide comprehensive support to our teams as they navigate the reporting process, which may involve adhering to different reporting guidelines and methodologies. Your role will ensure our reporting activities alignment with a variety of specified standards, reflecting the diverse requirements and preferences of our internal and external stakeholders. Your expertise will play a key role in enabling our teams to produce accurate and valuable reports contributing to the success and effectiveness of Tecnalis.

What you'll be doing

Tableau Developer Duties:

• Design and implement data visualization tools, dashboards, and reports
• Produce information for management, staff, customers, and regulatory agencies
• Optimize data visualization by designing, structuring, and formatting data
• Create and maintain data models, data artifacts, and metadata
• Produce data as needed by performing ad hoc queries, reports, and tables
• Develop and maintain automated data flows and data transformations
• Create dashboards and reports for management, staff, and customers
• Work with management to identify data needs, create data models, and propose data solutions
• Work with engineering staff to resolve data issues
• Develop and implement data quality assurance and quality control processes

Tableau Developer Responsibilities:

• Work within the Tableau environment to develop and maintain reports and dashboards for large size projects.
• Develop efficient solutions using Tableau Desktop, Server
• Provide training and technical support to internal clients
• Maintain documentation, reporting, and system configuration
• Demonstrate advanced SQL skills through the use of Tableau
• Maintain knowledge of client systems, data, and business needs

Talend ETL Development Duties:

• Design and Implement ETL process to fill Datawarehouse
• Maintain and improve existing process
• Special attention to process performance and optimization

Requirements:

• Degree in Engineering, Business Intelligence or similar
• 5+ years proven experience in a similar role
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal (English required, Spanish desired)
• Strong consultative and problem solving skills
• Rapidly responsive for troubleshooting and support
• Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
