We are on the hunt for an AWS Certified Solutions Architect who can partner with clients to provide technical oversight and solutioning of complex problems. This is a hands-on technical role but also requires interfacing and working closely with external stakeholders and understanding their pain points. This is a full-time role, 100% remote, Atlanta-based preferred.

Duties:
- Responsible for designing, implementing, and overseeing secure and scalable AWS solutions for our clients.
- Implement identity and access management (IAM) solutions to ensure the right level of access for users, applications, and services.
- Develop and maintain security automation scripts and tools to streamline security processes and ensure continuous monitoring and compliance.
- In-depth knowledge of cloud security services, tools, and technologies offered by major cloud providers or third parties.
- Design end-to-end architecture for AWS cloud solutions, with a particular emphasis on security aspects, including identity and access management, data protection, encryption, network security, and compliance.
- Develop architectural diagrams, documentation, and presentations that clearly communicate solution designs, security controls, and risk mitigations to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Lead and contribute to the implementation of AWS solutions, working closely with development, operations, and security teams to ensure that designs are accurately translated into functional systems while maintaining security principles.
- Stay current with AWS service offerings, security trends, and emerging technologies to provide innovative and up-to-date solutions that align with industry best practices.
- Collaborate with other architects, engineers, and security professionals to establish and refine security standards, policies, and procedures for AWS environments.
- Act as a subject matter expert on AWS security in both internal and client-facing discussions, offering guidance and recommendations to technical teams and business stakeholders.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field
- One of the following certification is required, AWS Certified Solutions Architect (Professional preferred), AWS Specialty Security or Advanced networking
- 5-8 years of experience in designing and implementing AWS cloud solutions with a strong focus on security aspects.
- Client-facing experience is a must have! Experience working in consulting or at a Big4 is preferred.
- Solid understanding of cloud security principles, including but not limited to identity and access management, encryption, network security, and compliance frameworks (e.g., SOC, PCI-DSS, HIPAA, GDPR).
- Hands-on experience with AWS security services such as AWS Identity and Access Management (IAM), AWS Key Management Service (KMS), Amazon GuardDuty, AWS WAF, etc.
- AWS infrastructure components (e.g., VPCs, EC2, RDS, S3, Lambda) and their associated security controls.
- Strong knowledge of scripting and automation tools for security-related tasks.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to various audiences.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and build strong relationships with cross-functional teams and clients.
- Experience in SIEM tools like Splunk, ElasticSearch or equivalent.
- Familiarity with DevSecOps practices and their integration into AWS environments
- Expertise in cloud networking services and technologies, including virtual networks, subnets, load balancers, and network security groups.
- Strong understanding of identity and access Management concepts, including authentication, authorization, SSO, MFA, federation protocols( SAML, OAuth, OpenID Connect ) and Cloud Security Policies like AWS SCP.
