Automation Sales Specialist

East Coast Sales - Automation

PagerDuty is seeking an Automation Sales Specialist for our Enterprise Account Executive Team to join our diverse, customer-focused sales team! As a Automation Specialist Account Executive,  you will own and drive the account strategy in partnership with the Account Manager to identify and bring to closure PagerDuty product and service opportunities. This role is responsible for driving all automation revenue and activity within the assigned territory and we need a specialist account executive who can generate net new business and ensure that our strategic accounts are successful.  

In the spirit of PagerDuty's value of "Championing the Customer," you will be responsible for providing the best possible sales experience for our customers by identifying gaps in a customer's environment and translating those needs into business-oriented solutions. We need you to bring you meaningful software industry experience in areas such as multi-product modern SaaS platforms, enterprise or infrastructure management, application development and management, security, and analytics.

Responsibilities
  • Lead a cross-functional account team in the development and execution of detailed account plans/strategies to grow existing relationships AND secure new logo customers (e.g., Marketing, Solution Consulting, Customer Success, Business Value, ISRs, BDRs, and partner teams). 
  • Maintain focus on identifying gaps in a customer's environment and develop a business-oriented point of view that compels them to act to solve for it. 
  • Generate revenue by selling, managing, and developing existing client relationships. 
  • Prioritize opportunities and coordinate your internal team to provide the best customer experience and ensure 100% satisfaction. 
  • Use PagerDuty sales methodology and processes optimally for all lead management and sales forecasting, and meet and exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual quotas. 
  • Foster and accelerate strong ecosystem partner relationships to expand market coverage, awareness, and penetration within your territory

Basic Qualifications:

  • 6+ years experience of software sales experience, with proven success selling to IT Operations and Engineering 
  • Experience leading clients to decisions using a consultative sales approach in a multi-product, complex software environment. 
  • Be available on East Coast scheduling to meet with and travel to clients, and collaborate with internal teams
  • Ability to qualify, execute, and close business opportunities under minimum guidance, and strong presentation, verbal and written communication skills .

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced knowledge of DevOps
  • Strong technical acumen, knowledge of engineering culture, and the ability to relate to the customer
  • BS/BA Degree or higher or proven relevant work exp preferred

The base salary range for this position is 126,000 - 193,000 USD. This role may also be eligible for bonus, commission, equity, and/or benefits.

Our base salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range, which is subject to change based on primary work location, reflects the minimum and maximum base salary we expect to pay newly hired employees for the position. Within the range, we determine pay for an individual based on a number of factors including market location, job-related knowledge, skills/competencies and experience.
