Astronomy YouTube Channel Scriptwriter

Astrum is one of the largest astronomy channels on YouTube, boasting over 1.5 million subscribers. We offer educational, captivating, and high-quality content to a dedicated audience that has a passion for learning about space.

We are currently seeking an experienced writer/researcher to join our remote digital team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for crafting engaging, informative, and accurate scripts for long-form videos covering topics such as science, physics, mathematics, astronomy, and other related subjects. You should be able to adapt the channel's tone in your scripts, transforming basic information into captivating narratives that hold viewers' interest until the very end.

• Research various topics related to science, physics, mathematics, and astronomy, and propose video ideas.
• Write, revise, and edit scripts for videos with a focus on accuracy and engaging storytelling, going extremely deep in research to trace stories back to original sources
• Stay up to date on new research, scientific discoveries and advancements in the field and incorporate them into video scripts

• A strong background or degree in science, physics, astronomy or anything related
• Proven experience in long-form or feature science communication, ideally with knowledge of science YouTube content
• A portfolio showcasing writing ability, attention to detail, and ability to communicate complex ideas in a clear and engaging way
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality content that meets the standards of the YouTube channel
• Passionate about educating and inspiring others about astronomy and science in general
