Requirements

As a result of our steady growth plan and more projects in the pipeline for the Product Design function our business, we are looking for an Associate Product Designer to join the team! You will play a key role within the wider Product Design function, whilst also supporting and working within a cross-functional squad here at Student Beans to deliver on designs that drive user and business value. You'll be part of a business which works on creating a delightful user experience, whilst working with some of the world’s biggest brands, including TopShop, Lego, Asos, GymShark and Google … to name a few!

Key Responsibilities

• Under the mentorship of the Principal Designer, you’ll learn and understand our ways of working and cadences as a Design guild.
• Aid research that identifies user needs, test ideas and refine design with data and user feedback. (Trymata, Usability Hub, Looker)
• Work closely with the Principal and Head of Product Design to prototype (using Figma) viable solutions that our users love.
• Collaborating with engineers within your squad at every stage of the design process to develop high-quality, scalable solutions.
• Evaluating and proactively surfacing quality issues and bugs across teams.
• Contribute your work to our design systems, principles, workflows and playbook.
• Injecting both surface and deep delight into your designs whilst keeping in mind our brand and tone of voice.
• Work to our established visual and UX patterns to ensure a consistent, intuitive experience
• Primarily be focussed on dashboard and portal design
• Be involved in conversations / research with some of the biggest brands in the world in order to aid design decisions

About You

We would love to hear from you if you have experience in the following:

• 1+ years as a UX/UI or Product Designer
• Ability in or understanding of prototyping techniques such as interaction design.
• An understanding of how and when to apply appropriate fidelities.
• Has used modern design tools e.g. Figma and have both used and contributed to a design system.
• Experience in platform or dashboard design for web
• Experience with or insight into B2B software
• An understanding of UI principles
• Ability to work quickly and an appetite to learn.
• Experience working in product squads and within an Agile environment would be great but not essential
