About the role
The Associate Director, Digital Delivery serves as a member of the DET Delivery team and is responsible for shaping, evolving, and elevating DET Delivery capabilities within the US Marketing divisions of Avalere Health. Our Digital Experience Technology (DET) offerings include marketing technology strategy and implementation, full-stack software/platform development, business analysis, quality assurance, digital delivery, hosting services, and marketing/digital/data operations.
The Associate Director, Digital Delivery role is a multi-disciplined role encompassing elements of the roles of Digital Producer, Designer, Project Manager and Solution architect. This role will support and help lead the US delivery team under the management of the Director, Digital Delivery. The role is a key position in forming and running a cohesive digital delivery team in tandem with fellow Digital Producers, Technology Strategy and the US Digital Delivery Leads and team.
This position is a blend of internal operations, employee career development, client delivery, and business growth. Your primary responsibility will be to oversee the technology delivery for a defined portfolio of clients within one or more divisions of Avalere Health. This includes guiding cross-functional teams to deliver world-class work, defining client engagements, and managing budgets and resources. You will lead a group of high-performing cross-functional DET team members focused on the masterful delivery of client work.
Your role will also involve building and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders, including internal and external partners, to ensure effective collaboration and alignment of goals. You will need to stay up to date with emerging technologies and trends in the marketing technology and life sciences industry and identify opportunities for innovation and growth for the organization.

What you'll do
- Lead the delivery for a defined portfolio of clients within one or more divisions of Avalere Health
- Accountable for implementation, activation, and operation of Marketing Technology platforms, projects, and applications in partnership with other functional areas of the business
- Forecasting and maintaining a right-sized DET team across your divisions to hit profitability and work/life balance targets.
- Serving as a champion for the DET team driving DET’s continuous improvements by bringing innovative ideas, coaching, and skills development.
- Actively seek and participate in new business opportunities and organic growth of existing client engagements.
- Establish and cultivate client IT relationships across all levels including technology, marketing, customer experience, and promo.
- Grow and evolve Avalere Health offerings in partnership with Division leads through process, innovation, and tools.
- Mentoring the digital team to evolve skillsets and chart career growth
- Form a strong relationship with all digital team members and know their capabilities.
- Ensure that the team and resources are set up for success.
- Line management of the DET Digital Producer team.
- Be able to present clear digital technology communications to internal or external stakeholders where required.
- Showcase the DET portfolio and case studies where required.
- Project manage a digital delivery through the DET teams with the UK & US Digital Producers
- Provide budget estimates and delivery reporting to the VP, Digital Experience Technology
- Review work before release and maintain quality assurance.
- Provide input to digital solution design, supporting the Director, Digital Delivery
- Strive to provide continuous improvement across the team and group through innovation and technology.
- Be the key point of contact for UK digital delivery internal inquiries and status updates of their aligned Line Of Business
- Be a key advocate for digital delivery across the group
- Investigate digital requirements and scope thoroughly
- Be hands-on in delivery projects ensuring design, development and scope are fully formed and documented.
- UK key stakeholder liaison extending the reach of the DET team
About you
- Four-year degree (Computer Science or equivalent preferred) or equivalent work experience
- 5+ years of work experience within the marketing technology or IT space
- 5+ years of leading complex technology projects
- Proven track record of successfully building and leading cross-functional technology teams
- Deep understanding of marketing technologies such as websites, emails, banners, databases, and experience management platforms
- Experience in writing and managing complex project scopes of work
- Experience with US and EU data privacy policies and standards
- Experience in leading and participating in new business pitches
- Experience in designing, delivering, and operating enterprise omnichannel connected marketing solutions and experiences
- Experience in identifying and communicating project and team risks to leadership and clients
- Experience leading client meetings, presentations, and participating in new business efforts
- Experience leading multiple simultaneous project
- Excellent written and verbal skills
- Experience in process/rules of engagement and content types within Pharmaceutical medical communications is a plus
- Creative agency and Life Science industry experience is a plus
