Associate Brand Manager Agency

Most brand management roles at traditional brands are slow and stagnant. You inherit a great history, but end up focused on protecting past success rather than blazing paths for future growth. And most startup brand management roles, well, they don’t exist. The C-suite runs the business, and brand management becomes brand marketing, without a strong connection to business results. 


At Curology, we’re changing that. We are looking to hire an Associate Brand Manager to help propel Agency to our next level of growth. Your job will be to support the Brand Lead of Agency to launch 360 marketing campaigns, bring Agency’s brand marketing to the next level and supercharge our evergreen marketing across organic social, influencer, PR and more.

What will you do?:
  • Assist Brand Marketing Lead in the development of 360 marketing strategies and the 2024 roadmap to help build the brand, drive awareness, and above all, grow subscribers 
  • Create evergreen marketing tactics to support full funnel campaigns, championing the consumer at every step 
  • Develop strategy for, and manage internal and external partners, across three of our top performing owned & earned channels: organic social, influencer and PR
  • Analyze day-to-day results of owned and earned channels to determine success and the future of the relationship/inform future decisions
  • Lead go-to-market launches of new products, developing and closely monitoring detailed timelines and managing cross functional activities, looking for opportunities to optimize the tools and processes to brief in teams 
  • Manage communication with cross-channel marketing partners (organic social, lifecycle, UA, affiliate) and creative teams to ensure alignment on campaigns and product launches
  • Closely review partnership SOWs and contracts etc., working with Legal as needed and ensuring that all confirmed deliverables within are upheld accordingly
  • Lead development of world-class briefs, both for external partners and internal, and ensure all respective needs are being clearly and effectively communicated for brand campaigns and product launches 
  • Manage communication with cross-channel marketing partners (organic social, lifecycle, UA, affiliate) and creative teams to ensure alignment on campaigns and product launches
  • Be a champion in bringing new ideas to the team as our expert in market trends, competitor initiatives, and emerging opportunities  
  • Develop and nurture relationships with cross-functional teams to optimize campaigns, including Creative, Social, Lifecycle, PR, Product/UX, Creative Operations and Product Marketing
  • Analyze the business and develop an in-depth understanding of key drivers; own performance tracking for new initiatives, deriving insights from the data which will enable brand leaders as they set the direction for brand growth


About you:
  • You are analytical but able to go beyond the data: you are able to derive key insights from a variety of data points and sources and put them into context to get to the “so what”
  • You love a challenge and are self-driven: you thrive under pressure and can very quickly become a subject matter expert on any subject through self-drive; you can take on projects and manage them end-to-end, seeking help and guidance as needed
  • Strong organization skills inclusive of building timelines and able to work on a variety of projects at one time in a fast-paced environment
  • Exceptional communicator: you can clearly and proactively communicate through different mediums and are able to build relationships quickly
  • Humble and a great team player: you are constantly trying to learn from others and you have a flexible approach that enables strong collaboration with cross-functional partners; you have a can-do attitude and will roll up your sleeves to do what is needed for the team 
  • 3+ Years in CPG Brand Management: ​You have worked in Brand Management at a traditional CPG company. Bonus if you’ve worked in a DTC startup environment
  • Hunger for brainstorming/ideating new and exciting external partners in complementary industries
  • General awareness of/experience working with media companies, PR agencies and influencer partners is a plus
  • Motivated by curiosity, whether solving a problem, pursuing a new experience, or seeking creative inspiration
  • Results-driven, solution-oriented, flexible, self-driving, and must have the ability to change course quickly, think big and start small, and thrive in a fast-paced environment
