WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
Our Endava family is growing! We are seeking an independent, tenacious, Agile Project Manager to join our Project Delivery Management team. As an Agile Project Manager at Endava, you will have a minimum 4 years of experience in the end-to-end management of software projects, with ideally a strong understanding of warehouse management systems for this role. You must have knowledge of stakeholder management, risk management, and Agile methodologies, as well as be willing to travel for this role.
As an Agile Project Manager (PM), you will take a people-first approach to leadership and be highly self-motivated. Our PMs are proactive in identifying gaps, suggesting improvements, and taking initiative. As a PM, you operate as a natural storyteller, understanding the context of decision-making and explaining it to others. You are not afraid to give candid and constructive feedback with empathy and know how to adapt your communication style for different seniorities and audiences.
In this role, you will have the flexibility to adapt to different roles, as the client needs, and be unphased by date or plan changes made by the client. You have the endurance to weather narrow timelines and shifts in team morale, as well as the tenacity to follow up on action items, decisions, and impediments until they are resolved. You can build trust within your team and transparently raise blockers, risks, and dependencies both inside and outside your team.
THIS IS A FIXED-TERM CONTRACT, 1 YEAR FULL-TIME EMPLOYMENT
Responsibilities:
- Full leadership of client’s cross-functional teams to drive project delivery as defined in the Statement of Work
- Being on-site with client teams when requested, resulting in weekend work and/or longer days
- Responsible for all phases of the Project Lifecycle to ensure a successful ‘Go-Live’ for the facility
- Tracks and reports on overall status, risks and issues, timeline and milestones, dependencies, expectations, and other key project metrics to the client as part of established routines
- Creates and owns project documentation: i.e., project plans, Go-Live plans, quality assurance and SOX compliance checklists, timelines, status reports, communication plans, risk logs, RACI charts, etc.
- Lead all project people; tracking vacations, collaborating with Subject Matter Experts, and the client’s Operations Teams
- Able to lead and influence teams that don’t report directly into this role
- All administrative actions regarding project meetings, including but not limited to: organizing, facilitating, taking notes, distributing notes, following up on deadlines and action items, etc.
- Where applicable, will approve timesheets and expense reports
- Work with account team - Account Manager, Sales Partner, and/or Delivery Manager - to help deepen client relationship
- Work with sales and marketing team to help build knowledge base of each client’s business, organization, objectives, and needs
- Assure project legal documents are completed and signed prior to the project starting
- Light management per facility
- Handles changes and their subsequent approval process, as needed
- Establishes and maintains a well-communicated schedule for a project at various Program and Project level meetings
- Evaluate key results and final product to ensure traceability of requirements, high quality, and customer/client acceptance
- Responsible for acquiring sign-off on all project deliverables, including Go-Live plans
- Facilitate project retrospective sessions to capture key Lessons Learned
- Create and distribute Lessons Learned documentation
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
- Minimum 4 years of relevant experience
- 2+ years’ experience with Agile methodologies
- Experience using project management tools (e.g., Smartsheet, SharePoint, MS Project, JIRA, Oracle, etc.)
- Experience using instant messaging tools (e.g., MS Teams, Slack, etc.)
- Must be willing to travel and/or fly up to 25% and occasionally over a weekend, as project schedule requires
Preferred Skills:
- 3+ years of demonstrated ability in consulting clients in a variety of business issues
- 3+ years IT experience in project, product, or business analyst roles
- 1+ years’ experience in supply chain, logistics, and/or warehouse management systems
- Experience with both waterfall and Agile delivery methodologies
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite
