Agile Program Manager II

The Agile Program Manager is an active and contributing member of the Program Management & Agile Ops team at NMI, as part of the Product Engineering organization. NMI’s portfolio consists of strategic programs that aim to deliver on the value of our products and technology.

Collaborating with the business, the Product organization, and the delivery teams, the Agile Program Manager leads one or more strategic programs towards value realization. They are responsible for leadership, alignment, and communication across multiple related initiatives coordinating to the program objectives with a strategic “big picture” perspective. This may also include program management across multiple functions and teams by planning, directing, and coordinating to the program objectives with consideration for risk.

This person performs at a high degree of responsibility, proficiency, and influence. With Agile in mind, the focus of this position is on delivering value over meeting constraints, leading the team over managing tasks, and adapting to change over conforming to plans.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Deeply understand strategic programs (and related initiatives) and how they directly support the strategic objectives of the company.
  • Build, maintain, and communicate program roadmaps with a direct link to value.
  • Build, maintain, and communicate program plans with a clear understanding of dependencies and risks.
  • Manage program commitments effectively by communicating status regularly, making plans highly visible, and setting expectations accordingly.
  • Communicate complex ideas effectively, write documentation, and facilitate meetings and all levels of the organization
  • Report on key program health metrics including value and investment.
  • Mitigate program/project risks and facilitate conflict resolution.
  • Actively participate in the Agile Portfolio Management process, representing the interests of assigned programs/initiatives.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in program management concepts, competency in Agile Methodologies, and knowledge of scaled agile frameworks
  • Perform related work and additional duties as needed or required.

Requirements

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technology field or related degree. Additional years of directly related relevant experience may be substituted for the educational requirement.
  • A minimum of 2+ years of program/project management, preferably in an Agile environment.
  • Strong facilitation skills.
  • Strong leadership and coaching skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Detail-oriented and highly organized.
  • Strong presentation and communication skills.
  • Self-motivated driver, able to make progress despite obstacles.
  • Strong servant leader able to lead and work with multiple diverse roles and personalities.
  • eCommerce, FinTech, or payment tech related experience is nice to have.

Annual salary of up to £45,000, dependent on experience
