ACT Full Test Tutor

 

TPAPT, a national consortium of over 12,000 locally owned and operated Tutoring & College Advising Programs, is seeking an experienced ACT Full Test Tutor to work remotely with students on their test preparation.

You will work closely with students to understand their unique learning styles and create customized lesson plans that support their individual academic goals.

The ideal candidate is passionate about education, exhibits strong communication skills, and is committed to helping students succeed.

Job description

We are searching for full-time, remote, experienced ACT/SAT tutors to join one of our local chapters.

Immediate assignments are likely.

  • Please apply only if you have demonstrable experience tutoring all four sections of the ACT (Math, Science, English, Reading) or all sections of the SAT (Reading, Writing, Math).
  • All tutoring is done from your home, using our unique digital whiteboard environment in which you and your student are both on camera and microphone working off of our PDF resources together.
  • Responsibilities will mainly involve: tutoring ACT or SAT students according to our personalized curriculum, sending detailed homework assignments, writing detailed progress reports to parents once a week.
  • Hours you would be working: Sunday through Thursday schedule required: 8 hours on Sundays (Sunday times are flexible) and Monday-Thursday from 12-9 pm Eastern ideal.

Requirements:

  • Intrinsic passion for helping students achieve their highest potential.
  • ACT composite score of 35 or 36 (we can give you a practice test to complete if you don’t have your official score handy).
  • A strong, reliable internet connection and reasonably professional setting in which to tutor on camera.
  • ACT tutoring expertise is required, shown by an ability to guide students to the answer without doing the work for them, teaching accurate information, letting students make mistakes and responding effectively to them. We need this tutor to be able to hit the ground running fairly quickly.
  • Caring and empathetic interest in students as people.
  • Deep commitment to the client—diligent, responsible, communicative.

    • Sun-Thurs during school year

Benefits

Compensation:

  • $45,000 - $55,000 annual salary (cost of living additional possible for high COL areas) for: tutoring, writing progress e-mails, assigning homework, meeting with your case manager, miscellaneous tasks.
  • 401(k) with 4% employer match.
  • Paychecks are sent bi-weekly on Fridays via direct deposit.
