Account Executive

Teaching kids to think critically and communicate effectively has never been more important, and NoRedInk helps students become better writers in more than 60% of U.S. school districts. 

We're looking for a talented Account Executive to further our mission to help every student harness the power of the written word by securing new K-12 school district customers. You’ll have the opportunity to build a book of business, leveraging high engagement from individual teachers and schools to craft and close multi-year deals at the mid market and enterprise district level. 

In this role, you will:

  • Demonstrate the value of NoRedInk to key stakeholders within some of the largest school districts in the country
  • Develop a deep understanding of the enterprise procurement processes within your districts and build account plans to ensure we are/become an approved vendor in those accounts
  • Represent NoRedInk in your region and develop deep customer relationships in the territory building a base of potential clients
  • Become an expert on the ed-tech trends and challenges within the states in your territory and partner with marketing/SDR teams to build GTM strategies that uniquely position NRI to win business at scale in those states
  • Meet or exceed quarterly and annual revenue goals, working with SDRs to uncover new leads and marketing to apply an account-based approach to the territory
  • Manage your sales pipeline and ensure data integrity in Salesforce and Outreach
  • Have a deep understanding of the political dynamics that exist within the executive staff and the school board, leverage resources internally or externally to ensure we can successfully navigate those dynamics to close business
  • Work closely with a variety of roles cross-departmentally within NRI to get support in order to move some of the larger, more complex deals forward, including (marketing, SDR, consultants, RFP support, professional learning, customer success, ELT etc)
  • Navigate complex RFx processes in your district(s)
  • Partner with marketing on a local events strategy to drive business in your territory

About You:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent market experience/knowledge
  • 5+ years of enterprise SaaS sales experience, selling large 6-7 figure deals 
  • Bonus for gov-tech or ed-tech sales experience
  • A track record of hitting and exceeding quota
  • Demonstrated ability to identify/secure net-new business and retain/expand strategic relationships
  • Experience using Salesforce and sales engagement solutions like Outreach to optimize sales performance
  • Availability to travel within your assigned territory as needed
  • Bonus points if you have existing client relationships

Compensation at NoRedInk is robust and includes a full range of benefits, unlimited PTO, monthly co-working stipends, an initial home-office set up stipend, and generous equity. Our salary ranges are based on factors such as expectations as laid out in the job description, location-specific market data, internal parity, and the experience and skills of individual candidates. Therefore, the total annual compensation range one is eligible for is 200,000 - 230,000, including base and sales bonus, which accounts for a variety of locations and skills/experience.  Please know that if you are invited to speak with a recruiter at NoRedInk, they will have an open discussion about compensation during your first call to ensure alignment.
