As part of a multidisciplinary development team, you will be responsible for creating realistic and believable environments and dressing these accordingly from white box.
Responsibilities
- Maintaining a high standard of modelling, texturing and PBR material creation.
- Working closely with level designers to ensure the environments form a believable game world.
- Collaborating closely with the art lead and partner studios to ensure the style is in keeping with the overall art direction.
- Implementing correct file naming and directory structure requirements.
Requirements
- Proven experience creating large scale environments and dressing utilising 3D software within professional game development.
- Strong attention to detail with a good eye for world building and storytelling
- Ability to work autonomously.
- Able to self-critique work and respond accordingly.
- Ability to supplement a provided brief with your own research and ideas while ensuring delivery of the brief’s core requirements.
- Understanding the necessity of an iterative approach
- Able to respond positively and proactively to constructive feedback.
- Professional and approachable when communicating with both internal and external stakeholders.
- A strong understanding of the broader game development and art creation process
- Experience working with source control.
- Willingness to adapt to using various software and engine/s as required.
Desirable - Experience using Blender & Substance painter.
